The National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) is used to protect employees in their rights to organize, join, or assist in labor organizations or engage in connected activities for the purpose of collective bargaining. Under the NLRA, protected conduct cannot be about one person acting alone unless he or she is acting on behalf of a group of employees. Protected conduct is the effort by two or more employees to try an improve working conditions and the terms of employment with or without the union or collective bargaining for the benefit of the entire group.   On the other hand, unprotected conduct is when an individual act alone and is only representing him or herself. 

The side that I have chosen is that of the employee. The protection afforded to the employee is not to be retaliated against by the employer by the NLRA.
