Molding a performance appraisal process to fit a job and the needs of both the employer and the employee is important if the desired outcomes for both are to be achieved. Therefore, it is important to understand not only for what the appraisal is to be used, but also what its individual components add to the decision-making process (Pulakos, 2004).
